11th Funding Cycle

On January 1, 2014, 24 counties throughout West Virginia were awarded grant funds totaling near $2.1 million dollars to improve or repair their courthouses.

Please check the web-site throughout the year to follow the progress of these projects.

Twelve of the grants were awarded in the category of Roofing. Seven of the grants were awarded in the category of Life Safety. Nicholas County received funding to install a new HVAC system in their courthouse. Summers and Roane Counties will be improving some of the electrical wiring in their courthouses. Cabell County will be refurbishing the bell tower that sits atop their courthouse in Huntington. Clay County will be redesigning four public restrooms to make them ADA compliant.
